Randy Travis's family spoke to the National Enquirer this week. They say Randy is not doing well. He has lost the use of his right side and he doesn't have much speech. They don't believe he'll ever walk again.
He'll never perform again.
Randy received the very best of care. You'll remember he had a heart attack and then a stroke. Working as hard as they could to mimimize the damage caused when the brain swells, surgeons actually removed a large portion of his skull. To keep the bone alive they grafted it onto an artery inside his abdomen. The swelling goen down now, and doctors have restored his skull.
But it's not good. Randy spends most of his days in bed, and is lifted into a wheel chair by using a special lift and sling.
